About the client
UR Travel is a Singapore-based travel business with a small, hands-on team. Beyond planning trips and itineraries, the team runs sales and product programmes, manages customer accounts, organises events and produces marketing content.
Participants came from across the business, including management, accounts and finance, projects, sales and business development. Each person's day-to-day work looked different, but bringing them into the same room showed that many of their challenges had the same root.
The Objective
Across the team, a lot of time went into handling information: converting and reformatting documents, pulling details together from different sources, turning research into presentations and proposals, and keeping up with email.
The work the team wanted to speed up included:
The team also came in with questions of their own. How do you prompt Claude well, and how does it compare with ChatGPT and Gemini? What is safe to upload? Can Claude help with social media marketing, lead generation, a company website, or even a simple app to track progress?
The overall aim was to help every team member work faster with documents, emails and research, use Claude confidently and safely, and start building simple tools and automations of their own.
The Solution
The programme was shaped around UR Travel's own needs, so sessions used the kinds of documents, emails and planning work the team handles every day instead of generic AI theory. Three principles guided the design:
A shared foundation first. Everyone started with how to write clear prompts, what Claude does well, and how it stacks up against other AI tools. This gave the whole team a common language before moving into role-specific work.
Cut the handling, keep the thinking. The core of the programme focused on information work. Participants used Claude to convert and extract documents, summarise long email threads, and turn raw research into presentations, proposals and agreements, so their time goes into decisions instead of reformatting.
From idea to working tool. Participants saw how a simple idea becomes something usable, from connecting Claude to everyday tools such as Gmail and Drive, to exploring realistic marketing automation and prototyping simple tools and websites.
Data privacy ran through the whole programme, covering what is safe to upload, how to handle client and financial information, and sensible habits for a small team.
To make sure everyone left with something relevant to their own desk, the content was tailored to each function in the team:
The Results
By the end of the programme, the team is equipped to:
