Personal Data

Overview

Hustle Institute commits to safeguarding personal information from learners, clients, partners, trainers, employees, and other stakeholders. The organization complies with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and PDPC guidelines.

Scope and Application

The policy applies to all personal data collected directly or indirectly, regardless of storage format. It covers learners, corporate clients, trainers, employees, job applicants, website visitors, marketing leads, and event participants.

Personal Data Collected

Hustle Institute collects different categories of personal data depending on the relationship with each individual.

  • Learners — name, NRIC, FIN/passport, date of birth, nationality, gender, contact details, employment information, enrollment records, attendance, assessment results, certifications, payment details, and feedback.

  • Corporate clients — company details, billing information, and employee training participation records.

  • Trainers — identification, contact information, qualifications, accreditation records, and payment details.

  • Employees and applicants — resumes, employment history, interviews, contracts, payroll details, and performance reviews.

  • Website visitors — IP addresses, device information, browser data, and usage analytics.

Purposes of Collection, Use, and Disclosure

Personal data supports course administration, enrollment processing, attendance tracking, assessments, certification, government-funded scheme administration, learner support, operational record-keeping, billing, audit compliance, and legal requirements. Marketing communications about courses and events are permitted where allowed by law. Individuals may opt out of marketing anytime.

Consent

Data collection requires individual consent, obtained explicitly or implicitly. Consent may be withdrawn by contacting the organization, though this may affect service delivery where data is legally or contractually necessary.

Disclosure of Personal Data

Hustle Institute does not sell personal data. Disclosures occur on a need-to-know basis to government agencies, trainers, IT providers, payment processors, professional advisors, and corporate clients. All third parties must maintain PDPA-compliant or equivalent protection standards.

Protection and Security of Personal Data

Hustle Institute implements administrative, physical, and technical safeguards including access controls, secure systems, password protection, physical record controls, staff training, and periodic reviews.

Retention of Personal Data

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for its stated purpose or as legally required. Unnecessary data is securely destroyed, deleted, or anonymized.

Accuracy of Personal Data

The organization maintains reasonable accuracy standards and encourages individuals to notify of changes to their information.

PDPA Compliance and Data Protection Officer

A Data Protection Officer oversees PDPA compliance and handles related inquiries, consent withdrawals, access and correction requests, and complaints.

Updates to This Privacy Policy

Hustle Institute reserves the right to update the policy to reflect legal, regulatory, or business changes. Updates take effect upon publication.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by Singapore law.

Refund Policies

  • Full course fees, including GST, must be paid before the first lesson. After commencement, fees are non-refundable.

  • If Hustle Institute cancels a course due to insufficient enrollment, operational requirements, or unforeseen circumstances, full refunds of registration and course fees are provided.

  • No refunds apply for non-attendance, withdrawal, or non-completion, including failure to attend first or subsequent lessons. Exceptional requests undergo case-by-case management review.

  • Hustle Institute reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, or modify course schedules, venues, trainers, or delivery modes as necessary, with timely notification to learners.

Learner's Contract

Policies, the Learner's Contract, course-specific terms, enrollment forms, declarations, and acknowledgements together constitute the contractual agreement between learner and academy. Enrollment signifies agreement to these policies and the Learner's Contract governing participation, assessments, payments, refunds, conduct, certifications, and administration throughout the program.
