GUITAR MUSIC
PRODUCTION

Already play guitar? Learn to record, produce & mix your own tracks into a polished, finished song.

About the

Course

You've been strumming for years. Maybe you write your own riffs. Maybe you've got song ideas floating around in your head that have never made it past your bedroom jam session.

This course changes that.

Guitar Music Production is designed for guitar players who want to take the next step, from playing music to producing it. Using BandLab, a free and powerful digital audio workstation available on both desktop and mobile, you'll learn how to record your guitar, layer in beats and digital instruments, shape your sound with effects, and mix everything into a finished, polished track.

No expensive software, no complicated studio setup. Just your guitar, a laptop, and the skills to turn your musical ideas into something you can actually share with the world.

Some of the topics covered in this workshop include:

  • Recording guitar, vocals, and other sounds using BandLab
  • Core music concepts: tempo, rhythm, and chord progressions in production
  • Building song ideas using loops, beats, and digital instruments
  • Layering tracks to create fuller arrangements and musical textures
  • Enhancing recordings with effects such as reverb, EQ, and delay
  • Structuring, mixing, and polishing tracks into a finished composition
  • Basic copyright and licensing considerations when using loops and samples

This course may be challenging if you've never played before. We recommend getting comfortable with the basics of guitar first, then coming back to join this course when you're ready.

What software will we be using?

×

You'll be producing on BandLab, a free, user-friendly DAW that works on both desktop and mobile. No paid software or subscriptions required.

Do I need to bring my own guitar?
