You don't need a recording studio, a music degree, or an expensive setup to make great music. You just need the right tools, the right guidance, and the drive to create.
In this hands-on 2-day workshop, you'll learn how to produce your own original music from scratch, right from your laptop. Using Bandlab, Novation Launchpad, and Arturia Minilab, you'll go from zero to finishing your first complete track, covering everything from beat-making and sound design to mixing and basic mastering.
The gear is beginner-friendly. The tools are either free or affordable. And by the time you walk out, you'll have actual, completed tracks to your name, and the knowledge to keep making more on your own.
Whether music has always been your thing and you've never known where to start, or you're a content creator looking to produce original sounds for your work, this course is your launchpad.

Helping Teams Across Industries
Is this course suitable for complete beginners?
×Absolutely. No prior music production or music theory knowledge is needed. The course is designed to ease you in from the very basics, while still moving at a pace that keeps things exciting and hands-on.
Do I need to know how to play an instrument?
×Not at all. The course will introduce you to the Arturia Minilab for playing melodies, and everything is designed to be approachable even if you've never touched an instrument.
What equipment and software will be used?
×You'll be working with Bandlab (a free, browser-based DAW), the Novation Launchpad (a MIDI pad controller), and the Arturia Minilab (a compact MIDI keyboard). All tools are chosen specifically for being beginner-friendly and budget-conscious — perfect for continuing your practice at home after the course.
Will I create my own music during the course?
×Yes, that's the whole point. By the end of the workshop, you'll have completed your own original tracks using everything you've learned. You leave with music you actually made.
How long is the course?
×The workshop runs over 2 days (16 hours total). We offer both weekday and weekend intakes to suit your schedule.
Is the course fee SkillsFuture claimable?
×Yes! Singaporeans aged 25 and above can use their SkillsFuture Credits to offset the course fee.
