I spent more than three decades working in television as a lighting specialist, shaping mood, atmosphere, and emotion through light. Over the years, I learnt that lighting is more than just a technical craft — it is a quiet form of storytelling that guides how people see, feel, and remember a moment.
Today, I bring that experience into the world of education, helping learners explore storytelling through photography, video, and creative technology. I enjoy showing people how visuals can be created with intention, whether through professional cameras, mobile phones, or simple everyday setups.
What continues to inspire me is the idea that powerful stories do not always come from large productions. Sometimes, they are found in ordinary moments, carefully observed and thoughtfully captured through light, framing, and human connection.

I teach people how to see better, create smarter, and tell stronger stories with simple tools.
What's something small that always makes your day better?
When someone says, "Oh, now I understand," that really makes my day.
What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?
I enjoy taking casual photos, exploring food, and observing how light changes everything.
One random thing you love that has nothing to do with your job.
I love finding humble food stalls that quietly serve unforgettable meals without shouting for attention.
If a friend had to describe your "vibe", what would they say?
Warm, patient, creative, encouraging, and always excited to share useful knowledge.
What's one small teaching habit you have that others might not notice?
I watch people's faces closely, because confusion often appears before anyone asks a question.

How many years have you been in your field, teaching, training, or mentoring?
I have spent over three decades in media, lighting, photography, video, and creative training. More than 10 years helping learners grow from "I cannot" to "Finally I can."
What do you enjoy most about teaching?
I enjoy seeing learners become more confident and realise they can create something meaningful.
If your class had one "unwritten rule", what would it be?
Stay curious, ask questions freely, and never be afraid to try, fail, and improve.
